Dr Cristina Grace Scalora
Chiropractor and Director
Hey everyone and Welcome to Empowered Spine and Mind!
My name is Cristina and I am your super friendly, chatty and energetic Chiropractor and small business owner here at Empowered.
My career in health started when I was 17 working as a sports trainer for my local football and netball club in the country where I grew up. I grew up in Tooleybuc NSW and moved to Melbourne for University in 2009. I studied Biomedicine at uni, and loved being a trainer so much I decided to do a Remedial Massage course.
I absolutely loved being a massage therapist, and after graduating from Biomed, I realised I wanted to pursue a career in Chiropractic. It felt like the best fit for me! I wanted to help people stay healthy, feel good, move better and reduce pain as much as possible and as naturally as possible.
I graduated from Chiro and started working as a Dr of Chiropractic in 2018, which brings us here! This clinic is my little dream come true and my happy place. I always wanted a clinic where people could relax, feel comfortable, have a laugh but most importantly enjoy their treatments and feel better about themselves.
At the moment we offer Chiropractic, Remedial Massage, Relaxation Massage, Myotherapy, Reiki, Rehabilitation, Infrared Sauna, Recovery boots and Ice Bath. We hope to grow and offer as many soul, body and mind nourishing therapies possible to our beautiful community.
We are so grateful for the beautiful people who come into this clinic and love being part of your health journey.
Stefan
Remedial Massage Therapist and Bowen Therapist
Hello, my name is Stefan, and I am a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and Bowen Therapist.
I finished my official diploma for Remedial in 2020 but I love to keep learning! I started my remedial and relax massage at a Sense of Self where I gained lots of hands-on experience within the day spa space and am now excited to work and grow with the Empowered Spine and Mind team and community.
Currently waiting to start my advanced level Bowen therapy and in the middle of my Canine Bowen course, which is my other passion. With being a Veterinary Nurse for 10 years, I want to shift into helping animals with a kind, natural manual therapy.
I love working with people by providing a safe and inclusive space to begin their healing, as this is where I believe true healing can begin:)
I treat all bodies with a special focus and passion for treating the LGBT+ community.
I look forward to being a part of your healing journey

Steph
Myotherapist/Rehabilitation Coach
As much as I love my job, there are also a lot of other things I love to do! When I’m not playing with my doggos you will find me re-learning how to skate ( and falling many times) or in the kitchen baking.
I am extremely passionate about empowering individuals to overcome pain through movement and to give individuals the confidence and strength to achieve their goals.
I grew up playing soccer and I was dedicated to being the best player I could be. But that was hard when I didn’t know a think strength training. I was never taught the importance of it for athletic development and minimising injuries.
I wasn’t comfortable to try a busy gym on my own because I didn’t know where to start or what exercises I should be doing.
Thankfully, you don’t need to struggle the way I did. This was part of the reason I become a coach.
To provide guidance and education around strength training for general health, well being and performance goals.
